I was born in 1982 and begun to have a passion for nature from a very early age. My main way of expressing this passion was through painting. I passed the days painting animals for hours and learning about the natural world, I begun exhibiting and selling work from the age of 14, eventually studying for a degree in Scientific Illustration at Blackpool and the Fylde College. Upon leaving college I did several illustration jobs for the National Trust and Coral Cay before making my living as a portrait and wildlife painter, I have travelled to Africa,America and Honduras, gathing my wild experiences to paint.

I have recently extended my love of nature into Bushcraft. Instead of simply admiring the natural world, Bushcraft teaches a person to resubmerse themselves into the evironment, to tread lightly in the natural world and at the same time, become a part of its story.

I have begun learning many of the skills associated with this subject such as wild camping , firelighting and the uses of the plants and animals around me. It wasn't long before my enjoyment of bushcraft was absorbed into my primary way of expressing myself, through painting. And so all the things in life that I am passionate about I can combine together. Painting is not just my hobby, it is my way of life!
